Over 3 years of commercial experience in the industry, delivering varied high-quality products with a strong focus on user experience and accessibility.
After an initial project partnered with the Department for Work & Pensions, the Digital Skills Hub platform was enhanced for Manchester Metropolitan University, providing a range of online workshops to their First Generation scholars.
The Learning Management System is designed for independent learning. Scholars can progress via online video workshops and consolidate their knowledge through quizzes and assignments. A bespoke 20-question career quiz presents students with an overview and resources for suitable career paths, based on the responses given. Users can refer back to their answers and retake the quiz at any time.
An ‘Opportunities’ listing is regularly updated to signpost relevant events, training courses and vacancies. The results are filterable with links directly to the websites.
The platform is aligned with MMU’s brand guidelines and integrates with their reward points system, creating a seamless experience for users.
Publicist Iain McCallum required an online portfolio to showcase their work. The aim of the website was to highlight Iain’s passion for giving voices to people who may not ordinarily be heard, as shown in his work on The A Word and Ralph & Katie.
Iain’s digital brand was created from scratch, giving me full creative freedom with the design of the website. My aim of the design was to match Iain’s image and identity, ultimately opting for a combination of stylishness and boldness, as shown through the choice of shapes and colour scheme.
The homepage presents a range of recognisable faces and productions, using a continuous rotating slider. To endorse Iain’s work, a testimonials section was developed, featuring a number of credible names.
Case studies give a detailed insight into Iain’s experience in some of his proudest projects which are displayed in the form of a carousel. In addition to his past work, Iain wanted to show his current and ongoing projects, which has been created as its own page.
After being recommended by Iain McCallum, Siân Reeves came forward with a website proposal to promote her amazing charity album ‘Remember This’, with all proceeds going to the Alzheimer's Society.
The single landing page then progressed into a portfolio to highlight her career over several paths, such as her work acting in Emmerdale, Mount Pleasant and several musicals and theatres.
Having been granted full creative freedom, I opted to make the website vibrant and colourful, encapsulating Siân's personality. Each page is expressed with different colours, showcasing the array of her different career ventures.
Screen Manchester is the film office for Manchester City Council. They provide support for all levels of production within the city, offering facilities like Space Studios and The Sharp Project. My role involves maintaining the pre-existing website with plugin updates and adding blog posts, as well as developing the functionality for new sections.
To keep the website fresh with information, I developed sections to showcase the Location & Facility of the month features. This has helped Screen Manchester highlight relevant resources to their clients.
As well as maintaining the website, I created and continue to update the email signature template for Screen Manchester’s internal staff, ensuring professionalism across their business.
